May was another busy month for our County Lines workshops, run with Luke and Amy from First People Housing CIC.
We started at CSEC on 13 May, talking to students about the dangers of County Lines and the ongoing rise in ketamine use. A huge thanks to Polly and her team for making it happen.
On 14 May we visited Links St Albans. It was an honest, engaging session, and one moment stood out: a student offering support to one of the adults in the room. Thanks to Mr Buckland and his team for having us, and we're looking forward to welcoming them to The Swan soon.
We finished the month at Aspire Alternative Provision in Aylesbury on 18 May, with a straight-talking, no sugar coated workshop on County Lines and ketamine use.
Across every session, Luke shared his own experience of how something that started off as fun spiralled quickly, and the impact substance misuse has had on his life. His honesty helps students understand the real risks of gangs and County Lines, not just the warnings.
A huge thank you to Luke and Amy from First People Housing CIC for their continued support, and to all the staff and students at CSEC, Links St Albans and Aspire Alternative Provision for making these workshops possible.
