HAPpy Camp: Week Two ☀️

What another incredible week of HAPpy Camp at The Swan!
We had a lovely day at the park playing pickleball, frisbee and, in true Swan style, running about like loons! 😄
Back at The Swan, our young people helped prepare lunch with sticky rice, gyoza and noodles, followed by banana bread for pudding. The challenge of the day was to eat with chopsticks, and we had a good laugh trying! It was wonderful to see our members trying new foods and having a go at new skills.
We ended the week with a very special visit to The Kings Arms in Berkhamsted, where Chef Jo Jo hosted a pizza-making session for us. 🍕
Chef Jo talked our members through the whole process of making pizza, with incredible patience and no toppings off the menu! We even learnt that their pizza dough takes 48 hours to prepare.
We all thoroughly enjoyed making and eating our pizzas. A huge thank you to Chef Jo Jo and the whole team at The Kings Arms for making us feel so very welcome. ❤️
And another huge thank you to HCF for supporting the HAPpy programme and making experiences like these possible for our members, as well as helping to ensure that no child goes hungry during the summer holidays.
You may be behind the scenes, but we could not do this without you all.
Thanks Team HCF! 🙏🏽
End of Week 2. Can't wait for Week 3!!!
