Sandra Swarbrick

I began my career as a primary school teacher in Hertfordshire, where building strong relationships with children and their families was at the heart of my work.

 

Over time, I became more interested in therapeutic approaches to behaviour within mainstream schools. This has increased my passion to support young people in the community, hence I volunteered to step into the role of Chair of Trustees at the Swan.  

 

For me, it is important that all young people have access to a safe space with safe people where they can be supported to reach their full potential, through holistic support by staff.  It is a privilege to be able to work with staff and other Trustees to ensure that we continue to provide this service, especially during the current local and global climate affecting young people.
