I’ve lived in Berkhamsted for many years, and throughout my life I have always felt close to the journeys of young people. When the opportunity came to be part of The Swan, it felt like the perfect place to give my time and energy.
I have been involved with The Swan since its very beginning, becoming a trustee six years ago and stepping into the role of Chair a year later. To me, The Swan is something every community should have — a safe and welcoming space where young people can relax, have fun, socialise, learn, and simply be themselves. With youth clubs disappearing across the country, I am determined that The Swan will continue to thrive.
What inspires me most is the unique nature of The Swan and the incredible team who run it. That is why I am committed to working behind the scenes to raise the funds that keep our doors open and ensure young people in Berkhamsted always have this special place.
