Whisks Out! Baking with the U3A Legends 🍰

Yesterday at The Swan Youth Project in Berkhamsted, things got a bit messy… but in the absolute best way possible!
We had the lovely ladies from the U3A drop by to bake with our young people, and honestly, the place was buzzing. There was flour everywhere, plenty of laughs, and that brilliant kind of kitchen chaos you only get when everyone’s stuck in together.
It wasn’t just about the baking, though. It was about the chats over the mixing bowls and seeing everyone relax. One young person mentioned they’d never actually baked anything before — but by the end of the session, we practically had to drag them out of the kitchen! 💛
It’s these simple moments — just sitting, chatting, and creating something together — that help young people feel like they truly belong.
A massive thank you to the U3A volunteers for bringing so much energy and kindness to The Swan Youth Project and supporting young people in Hertfordshire. You’ve made a real difference — and the cakes weren’t half bad either! 😉❤️
